@Extelec@mstdn.social I can say truthfully "been there, done that". (We had several Cray 1 models in our data center at the Livermore Labs.) But for the Cray 2 only a tiny person could get into the middle.

@Extelec@mstdn.social According to Cray, the height of it was designed so you couldn't see the dust on top. And the padded bench (housing part of cooling and power supply) was there to give the engineer something to rest on.
