Because yeah, in the desert you always shake your shoes before putting them on because smaller things think of shoes as caves they can hang out it to get out of the heat.

  @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org I'm a bit surprised you couldn't find it stocked in a bike store somewhere reasonably near by. That said, there are now Ebay sellers that seem to use AI to take a search query and compose a 'buy it now' page for the part. I haven't tried 'flux capacitor' yet but I'm getting close 😆

  At this late stage I'm kind of surprised we don't have a programming environment that is simply an HTML rendering / UX engine that you run your code in. Where the HTML engine is the equivalent of the BASIC interpreter kinds of thing. Sort of like an all-in-one one window window system + language interpreter.

  Fun fact, 260,000 acre solar farm with 250,000 dedicated to panels and 10,000 dedicated to a battery plant, would power the entire state, 24x7 on just sunlight. Assuming the 5000 cycles is the UPPER end of the batteries, that's 12 years of power for the entire state, for "free". For reference, California has 1.9 MILLION acres in the central valley planted in Almonds. this would take 14% of that and not need any water.

  I was digging around my storage unit and found an antistatic bag with DIMM, SODIMMs, SDRAMs, and other memory modules. That's from like 15 years of various machine upgrades 😃 and I thought "Wow, I wonder how much all these megabytes are worth 😆"
