Fun fact, 260,000 acre solar farm with 250,000 dedicated to panels and 10,000 dedicated to a battery plant, would power the entire state, 24x7 on just sunlight. Assuming the 5000 cycles is the UPPER end of the batteries, that's 12 years of power for the entire state, for "free". For reference, California has 1.9 MILLION acres in the central valley planted in Almonds. this would take 14% of that and not need any water.
