Much as I have appreciated being on Oldbytes.space, it does seem to have become a bit flaky recently, so I have reactivated @linker3000@mastodon.social and I&#39;ll be posting over there unless/until things get better over here. I&#39;ll try moving users etc. so you won&#39;t miss a word of my vital mumblings.

I suddenly stopped being able to get to Bluesky from any device on my home network. I had to whitelist inkcap.us-east.host.bsky.network in my OpenDNS account to stop it being blocked for &#39;Advertisments&#39;

A new arrival. I used to have a Commodore MPS801 printer back in the day, but I sold it with all my other kit 😢. Does anyone know if there&#39;s any Rifas in there to save a definite rummage inside? Now to find some 80-col listing paper!

My intention to test out the Commodore C2N tape unit I&#39;ve had in a cupboard for several years is thwarted by a lack of blank (or sacrificial commercial) cassette tapes! Retro-ing is hard a times! #8bit #commodore

@neil I turn off or hibernate my current Windows laptop manually. If I just close the lid, Windows wakes up later and drains the battery. Haven&#39;t gotten to the bottom of it after a lot of trying. Now, my old faithful ThinkPad running Linux Mint - I close the lid and it suspends like it should.
