I just released test-ws version 0.2.0. https://crates.io/crates/test-ws With timeouts for awaiting messages and jsonpath for checking conditions, this is getting really useful. Still no capturing of values for reuse in later requests, which is important in #hurl. So that may be the next feature to implement. #websockets #testing #opensource

Hi! Is there a good testing tool for websocket servers? Something like hurl but sending and awaiting messages on a websocket instead of separate http requests? Do I have to write one myself? #websockets #testing #webdev

I went ahead and started writing one. https://crates.io/crates/test-ws Still very basic, only text matching, no json parsing, no variable capturing. Sufficient for one of my needs, but I have projects motivating me to add more features. #websockets #testing #rustLang
