A quel punto i medici hanno comunicato ai familiari dell’uomo che gli sarebbero rimaste solo poche ore di vita. La figlia racconta così quello che venne detto a loro dai medici dell’ospedale: “Ci avevano detto che era andato in sepsi e aveva avuto un’insufficienza multiorgano. La maggior parte dei suoi organi vitali aveva smesso di funzionare. Ma è sopravvissuto alla notte, e non ce lo aspettavamo”. Parisha Bains ricorda anche come aveva reagito all’annuncio che era stato fatto a loro dai dottori: “Ci è sembrato che il nostro mondo crollasse. According to some reports, the man had eaten roast chicken at a pub. Last February, the man went to the St Helier hospital emergency room, suspecting food poisoning. He was diagnosed with a Campylobacter infection, which normally causes malaise, diarrhea and fever, instead of resolving with rest and fluid recovery, evolved into sepsis. The pH of his blood rapidly plummeted and, after already being taken to intensive care, Amin suffered a cardiac arrest. At that point, the doctors told the man’s family that he had only a few hours left to live. The daughter recounts what the doctors at St Helier Hospital said to them: “They told us he had gone into sepsis and had multi-organ failure. Most of his vital organs had stopped working. But he survived the night, and we didn't expect it.” Parisha Bains also recalls how she reacted to the announcement made by the doctors: “It seemed like our world was collapsing. South Western #Railway has welcomed back the Railway 200 exhibition train ‘Inspiration’ to its network, with recent visits to Kingston and Salisbury drawing around 3,000 visitors. #Transport for #London Freedom of Information release: #TfL has published its response to an FOI request about the outer boundary of Zone 6 in #Surrey. The requester sought the rationale for setting the Zone 6 boundary at #Surbiton on routes to #Guildford and #Woking, and at #Hampton Court for Thames Ditton and Hampton Court stations, as well as any related meeting minutes or correspondence on extending Zone 6 in Elmbridge. TfL said the zonal system was introduced around 30 years ago, broadly based on six concentric zones across London, with few changes since and only where revenue impacts allowed. TfL confirmed it has no power to extend zones to stations outside its network, stating this would be for the train operator and the Department for Transport. It holds no relevant correspondence and no minutes from a May 2025 meeting with Monica Harding MP.
