“Google wants a look at your hands before it lets you through. The company’s newest reCAPTCHA check, rolling out now as a test, asks you to switch on your camera and wave at it so an algorithm can decide whether you’re a human or a bot. That wave is less casual than it looks. The system records a short video of your hand and pulls 21 hand-landmark coordinates from it, mapping your finger joints, your palm geometry, and the way you move in real time. Google describes the purpose as liveness detection, a way for websites to fend off automated account creation, credential-stuffing, and other fraud. Cette bonne blague ! On a encore la possibilité d'utiliser l'ancien #CAPTCHA, mais pour combien de temps ? Combien de temps avant que Google exige de filmer votre main "pour vérifier que vous êtes humain.e" et vous permettre d'accéder à ses services ? Well, the new Google ReCaptcha is awful, sheesh It's a QR code you have to scan with a "proper" device - aka with Google Services installed Goodbye last 10 years of phishing awareness, time to scan random QRs without a thought while you are purchasing things, woo! Seriously what were they thinking? Google introduces Google Cloud Fraud Defense, the next evolution of reCAPTCHA.

The new reCAPTCHA requires visitor to own and use Google/Apple approved device, with fully Google/Apple approved operating system build.

Existing reCAPTCHA customers are automatically Fraud Defense customers

Absolutely fucking not It did a classic click on Cars picture earlier, but I've just disabled Secure Boot and gone to this site again and now it says this, wonder if it's related ​:blobvomiting:​ #recaptcha
