Just happen to see this: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48283099 https://github.com/mplsllc/macsurf "MacSurf, a web browser port of Netsurf for Mac OS 9 with native TLS" Downloaded it to the #iBook running #MacOS9 and started MacSurf. I could browse sites like #osnews pretty well actually. #PowerPC #G3 #Retrocomputing #VintageMac #Apple #Macintosh #PPC

Just mildly disassembling this G4 Cube and it’s impressive. #apple #PowerPC #MacOS9 #classic #M7886 mactracker://E9A1BFD8-F233-4C65-B859-A7421F9614D1 https://everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g4/specs/powermac_g4_450_cube.html

Sadly it looks like enough parts on this are missing that it’s not easily usable. Would sure love to Mac OS 9 again. #apple #PowerPC #MacOS9 #classic #AppleCube

Oh, hey! It was on this day May 6th, in 1998 that Apple launched the iMac in a world of beige that turned around the company. https://everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/specs/imac_ab.html #apple #PowerPC #MacOS9 #classic #iMac

The power button on this Cube is a light capacitive touch sensor that is able to detect touch through the thick plastic top. The internal block has an impressive clamp to attach itself to the top vent piece. #apple #PowerPC #MacOS9 #classic #G4Cube #AppleCube
