In 1969, the 912 model featured yesterday was replaced as Porsche’s entry level car by this, the VW-Porsche 914, which I snapped at Techno Classica in 2019. This is a rare 914/6 version which used a less powerful version of the 911’s flat six, but the vast majority of 914s were 914/4s, which had a two-litre four-cylinder VW boxer engine from the Volkswagen Type 411/412, rather than the old Porsche four used in the 356 and 912. Ex-Ministerpräsident Kretschmann aus dem Heimatland von #Porsche hatte schon vor 15 Jahren gefordert, dass sich die Autobauer stärker auf Mobilitätskonzepte statt nur auf traditionelle Verbrennerautos konzentrieren sollen, woraufhin Porsche umgehend das Gespräch mit ihm suchte und scharfe Kritik insbesondere von Vertretern der @CDU wie @hermanngrohe sowie von Daimler und anderen Zulieferern geäußert wurde [1][2]. Macht es mich zu einem schlechten Menschen, wenn ich mich darüber freue, dass ein Porsche, der unberechtigt auf einem Parkplatz für Carsharing steht, abgeschleppt wird? An gleicher Stelle hat mir schon mal jemand, der unberechtigt dort parkte, Prügel angedroht, weil ich nach einer Fahrt das Carsharing-Auto dort abstellen musste. #verkehrswende #verkehr #mobilität #auto #carsharing #porsche #falschparken #allesistparkplatz

#Porsche published a beautifully-detailed, hand-illustrated animation full of easter eggs for enthusiasts. What a wonderful way to celebrate the 911, and a refreshing contrast to the awful AI slop that we’ve been seeing from other companies. Nicely done.
