Are there any nice self-contained package management solutions out there? I am looking for a package manager specifically built for small static tools that simply downloads stuff off a repo and puts it in the right places, so if anyone knows about something like it, please let me know!

My requirements are as following:

  • Must be (somewhat) simple to use and in function
  • Must be available for a plethora of systems
  • Must primarily be a precompiled binary packaging type of solution as opposed to being source-based
  • Must not be vibecoded
  • Making repos for it should be easy

I know this is kind of a shot in the dark, but I am curious, cause I am interested in packaging Makko for Linux systems, but I simply am not convinced of any of the existing solutions out there.

i wanna start taking meds for uni, as i noticed last school grade i was starting to fall behind a bit with the getting away with not studying somehow and i currently don't have a studying habit and i'm starting to like actually worry i have vyvanse (well it's not actually vyvanse but it's lisdexamphetamine dimesylate which is close or the same) and i've had it ever since i got diagnosed but i've been afraid to take it because it lasts the whole day and if i take it too late i can't sleep, i hear. also today i found out it's extended release which sucks because i don't wanna have to take it daily. also i don't feel very comfortable with taking my ADHD away all the time, after all it's only a problem when i'm supposed to be studying, otherwise i really don't mind it and i feel like it's just part of who i am but also like. if i wanna form a studying habit i feel like taking immediate release meds would just be annoying and i'm worried its side effects will just make me an unbearable person lol so i come to ask for everyone's opinion. help me! i am in need of guidance!!! and respectfully please don't talk to me about "techniques" i'm here for the meds side of things #adhd #pleaseboost

I've been using Linux since August, and completely ditched Windows, so I'm pretty well-versed into using Linux itself I'd say - but if there are differences you feel are notable when using Linux with the Steam Deck (apart from SteamOS/Bazzite being immutable), or any general pointers on making my experience better, please let me know!
