This roundup exists because I keep showing up to put it together, regardless of whether or not I need help myself. Not because I hope someone will also show up for me, but because this is genuinely the only thing I can do to help on most days. Some weeks it feels like none of this matters. We're supposed to help each other, not because we can, or because we want to, but because we must. That feeling of being helpless, cornered, isolated, it is by design. Who should we expect to show up when the system makes it normal to feel cornered, helpless, isolated in conditions built to do exactly that?
