Today was my daughter Maha’s birthday. ❤️‍🩹🎂 I wished with all my heart that I could make her happy, buy her some of the things she needs, and give her even a small moment of joy. But sadly, the day passed without receiving a single donation. A Plea Before Winter Sadly, while many people are enjoying peaceful and safe lives, we in Gaza no longer know what it means to truly live. 💔 We endured a brutal summer inside our tents, experiencing some of the hardest days of our lives — unbearable heat, insects, dust, and exhaustion that never seems to end. And now winter is approaching, and we are waiting for it with hearts full of fear and exhaustion. How can a worn-out, fragile tent withstand heavy rain and strong winds? How can I protect my children from the cold and rain when we have nowhere else to go? Our tent urgently needs repairs and renewal so that my children and I can have even a small measure of safety and shelter. Lucy, a Small Soul Trying to Survive in Gaza 🐾🤍 In Gaza, suffering does not belong to humans alone. The war has also left countless animals struggling to survive—without safe shelter, enough food, clean water, or access to veterinary care. Among them is our beloved cat, Lucy. 🐱 Lucy lives with us inside our simple tent. She is not just a pet; she is part of our family. She shares our fear, our hunger, and the uncertainty of each day. Yet despite everything around her, she still brings a little warmth and innocence into our difficult lives. Lucy needs proper food, medical care, and important vaccinations. But with our loss of income and the overwhelming needs of our family, I can no longer provide everything she needs on my own. She, too, is a victim of these circumstances. She deserves to be cared for, protected, and given the chance to stay healthy.
