1. Months ago, I hand wrote and mailed short notes to several people living in the same neighborhood to thank them for political signs that encouraged me by demonstrating there are good people even during dark times. A few of them wrote kind letters back to me.

2. A few weeks ago, I hand wrote and mailed short notes to thank people who flew pride flags in their yards. One of them wrote back and I enjoyed reading her note today.

3. I have a young and outgoing neighbor who inspires me with her outgoing personality and kindness. Today, I will begin writing more notes to neighborhood people to thank them for kind acts I have accidentally witnessed and perhaps for the flowers in their yards that I see while walking my dog.

I recently noticed that my old neighbour had a newspaper in her newspaper holder that no one had took inside for a few days. I then called her to check that everything was ok.
