When I first got my amateur radio license, I spent most of my time in the novice area of the 40-meter band. That's where I learned Morse code and got my Morse code up to speed so that I could go to other areas of the band. I really need to make an effort to go and see if there are still people hanging out on the novice area of the 40-meter band and slow it down and help some people along. I think it was somewhere around 7.100 #AmateurRadio #MorseCode

I just had two younger people, one still in high school and one in their mid-20s, ask me if I would help them get their ham radio license. Of course I will, and for each of them, I promised that if they get their license, I would buy them a QMX Plus kit from QRP Labs and get them active on CW and digital modes.
