RE: https://friendhole.social/@beandreams/116870691137244274 This. I'm an old, and I attended a #school for #blind and #lowVision students. One class we were required to take was #homeEc. My class was half boys and half girls. Yes, we learned cooking and sewing, but we also learned how to iron and fold clothes, towels, and bedding, how to set the table (including for multiple courses), ettiquette (pullihg out a chair for someone, choosing from the menu when someone else is paying, etc.). As a grown-ass adult, I can choose to do all the things however I want. Grouping my bedding into handy grab-and-go works for me.

Friends, asking for accounts on Mastodon or organizations that are about low vision resources. I am losing my sight (not from macular degeneration) and want to connect with others like me. It's pretty devastating for someone who's been an artist and photographer all my life, but accessibillity options are greatly improving. Currently using Zoom, Magnify and VoiceOver on the iphone. Looking for connection and inspiration and your well wishes too! #lowvision #accessibility
