Authorities said he is believed to have injured several people after he drove a van into a crowd at a park near the #Pride festival’s closing party. He then allegedly attacked other people with a weapon, suspected to be a machete. “Everything we see here points to us dealing with an #Islamic #terror attack,” Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said. A FAR SPARIRE MODENA-FIRENZE-COSENZA No, non è Il Tempo a essere dotato di poteri straordinari di previsione e preveggenza, ma sono gli altri ad essere maledettamente prevedibili. Da giorni vi segnaliamo l'arretramento nella foliazione (ogni giorno tre-quattro pagine più all'indietro) delle notizie sul rischio del terrorismo islamico a casa nostra.  Le notizie oggi sarebbero ben tre: l'attentato a Modena, l'arresto del mini-jihadista a Firenze, la condanna di un altro propagandista tra Cosenza e Catanzaro.  Ecco: a che serve - mediaticamente parlando - l'operazione Flotilla? A far sparire dai giornali tutto ciò che ruota intorno al tema sgradito alla stampa “accogliente”. E allora il gioco è fatto: sul Corsera tre pagine sulla Flotilla e nulla sul terrore islamista, sulla Stampa cinque contro mezza, su Rep tre contro una (ma a pagina 27), sul Fatto quattro contro nulla, sul Messaggero due contro nulla.  A maggior ragione il centrodestra farebbe bene a riflettere: ha senso farsi trascinare dagli altri sulla narrazione più comoda e gradita per loro? TIME 9 AM - Us and the others on paper TO THE NEWSPAPERS: WHAT USE IS THE FLOTILLA? TO MAKE MODENA-FIRENZE-COSENZA DISAPPEAR? No, it’s not Il Tempo [newspaper] that’s equipped with extraordinary powers of prediction and foresight, but it’s the others that are incredibly predictable. For days we’ve been reporting on the retraction in pagination (three-four pages back each day) of news about the risk of Islamic terrorism at home. The news today would be three: the attack in Modena, the arrest of the mini-jihadist in Florence, and the conviction of another propagandist between Cosenza and Catanzaro. Here’s the deal: what’s the point – mediatically speaking – of the Flotilla operation? To make everything that revolves around the theme unwelcome to the press “accommodating” disappear from the newspapers. And so the game is over: on Corsera three pages about the Flotilla and nothing about Islamic terrorism, on La Stampa five against half, on Rep three against one (but on page 27), on Il Fatto Quotidiano four against nothing, on Il Messaggero two against nothing. Lo dicono gli studenti e le studentesse iraniane del movimento “Donna, vita, libertà” che hanno partecipato al presidio “No War” organizzato da Anpi Cgil e Arci sotto il consolato Usa di Milano. “Una piazza che dice no alla guerra” spiegano gli organizzatori che chiedono “il ritorno della diplomazia e del negoziato”. In piazza si radunano un centinaio di persone. Ma le anime sono diverse. Poco dopo le 18 compaiono alcune sparute bandiere del regime islamico. Una presenza non gradita dagli organizzatori che si dissociano ricordando che “non è un presidio a favore del regime”. Tra grida e spintoni, le bandiere vengono fatte spostare oltre al cordone di polizia. Ma non è l’unico momento di tensione. Poco dopo in piazza arrivano un paio di donne iraniane che ringraziano gli Stati Uniti per l’intervento militare in Iran. Vengono subito apostrofate come “sioniste e fasciste pagate dal Mossad”. A ricordare il senso del sit-in ci pensa però un altro ragazzo iraniano del movimento “Donna, vita e libertà” che con il suo intervento chiude la manifestazione: “Odiamo il regime islamico – hanno precisato gli studenti iraniani che hanno parlato al microfono – quanto odiamo Israele e gli Stati Uniti per quanto fanno in tutto il mondo”.
