New #MacOS includes 17GB of #AI slop. There's no opt-out. Hard pass. #MacOS27 #GoldenGate #Apple #Tech https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/09/macos-27-golden-gate-the-ars-technica-review/

I upgraded to MacOS 27 and now my keybindings to switch desktops don't work properly anymore. Every time I wake the computer from sleep, they stop working until I add and remove a desktop. Is 27 a beta version? The update offer looked the same as always. Can I easily roll back? #macOS #goldengate #bug

All that said, so far Golden Gate actually does feel a little snappier to me than Sequoia. We’ll see how much of that is just clean caches, etc. but no complaints on performance at first blush. #macos #macos27 #goldengate

OK … what happened to my speaking clock? #GoldenGate played #sillybuggers and changed it … !

Here we go, take 4! #Apple #macOS25 #GoldenGate beta 4 update under way.

I installed the public beta of macOS Golden Gate today and I have to say it feels cleaner and faster than before. That maybe 'beta-tester-bias' at play, but it does feel like a noticeable step aboveTahoe. Much more polished and some of the elegance lost has been restored. Nice. #MacOS #GoldenGate
