(Adnkronos) - La spiaggia di Cannes è stata presa d’assalto, con persone assiepate anche sui muretti laterali, per la proiezione di ‘Top Gun’ nel programma del Cinéma de la Plage del 79esimo Festival di Cannes. Un appuntamento speciale per celebrare i 40 anni dall’uscita del cult del 1986 con Tom Cruise. Nessuna apparizione del pilota Maverick, nonostante nel pomeriggio un post dell’attore su Instagram avesse fatto sperare i fan: “Non vedo l’ora di festeggiare con tutti voi i 40 anni di Top Gun. Sarà divertente riguardarlo sul grande schermo”. A introdurre l’evento sono stati Frédéric Moget, direttore generale di Paramount Pictures Francia, e Charles H. Rivkin, ceo della Motion Picture Association.
Cannes, ‘Top Gun’ celebrates 40 years: crowded beach for special screening
(Adnkronos) - The Cannes beach was swarmed, with people packed onto the side walls, for the screening of ‘Top Gun’ as part of the 79th Cannes Film Festival’s Cinéma de la Plage program. A special event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1986 cult film starring Tom Cruise. There was no appearance by Maverick the pilot, despite a post from the actor on Instagram in the afternoon having initially given fans hope: “I can’t wait to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Top Gun with all of you. It’s going to be fun to watch it on the big screen.” Frédéric Moget, General Manager of Paramount Pictures France, and Charles H. Rivkin, CEO of the Motion Picture Association, introduced the event.
