Decided the next time I'll try my hand at #Fluxer, I'll make a bingo card for all the shit I end up running into. Don't be surprised if you find yourself randomly banned from numerous servers you haven't even joined before because of a handful of power moderators on the platform decide exercise the absolute full extent of their pettiness on you. The signup workflow for my Matrix instance is giving even my more technically adept friends issues. I shouldn’t have to also host a wiki for people that work with technology to be able to use my instance. That and the fact that Matrix was born out of the IDF have just soured me on the whole thing. I’m probably going to scrap it and give Fluxer a try next. #matrix #fluxer #discord

One of the things I use Discord for is the Heroic launcher server, mostly for the channel where "Gaming on Linux" news is posted. They're investigating Fluxer as an alternative. So, I popped over, created an account, muted everything but that one equivalent channel... ... and, hmmm, I'm not sure how ready Fluxer is for this. I mute "until I turn it back on" an entire category and yet still get activity dots for the channels. And they seem to have somewhat limited keyboard navigation (I'm used Shift+Alt+ to navigate to "next channel with unread messages"). I did do a quick search to see how good Fluxer might actually be, including things like security response, but didn't come up with much. They have some form of bug bounty program, but looks like the only rewards are "kudos" and maybe some free month of their premium sub. #Fluxer #DiscordExodus

Ich würde ja sagen, dass #Stoat und #Fluxer die besseren Alternativen zu #Discord sind. Was aus meiner Sicht schon irgendwie Sinn machen würde, wäre ja, dass die miteinander föderierten, damit man sich nicht zwischen einem der beiden entscheiden muss. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/c-29EvR3Q8k
