Cognitive Science Student (M.Sc.) & Molecular Biologist (B.Sc.) | Artificial Consciousness, BCI & HMI Research | Physiological Computing & AI My research is driven by a firm commitment to open and transparent science. I believe the most profound advancements emerge from collaborative approaches that integrate insights across multiple scales and disciplines, from molecular mechanisms to complex systems behavior. My academic journey from Molecular Biology to Cognitive Science has given me a multi-scale perspective to tackle complex questions. I use quantitative methods and open-source tools as my primary approaches to explore biological and computational systems. For me, developing knowledge and technology is not just a scientific challenge, but an ethical imperative. Transparent, reproducible research is crucial for creating solutions that are not only effective but also fair, accessible, and respectful of human autonomy and societal needs.

Hello Fediverse! 👋 Time for my #introduction.
I transitioned from a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology to an M.Sc. in Cognitive Science at Ruhr University Bochum. This path has given me a multi-scale perspective on biology and computation.
My Master's thesis focuses on neural-autonomic synchrony, classifying emotions in an embodied context using #EEG, #fNIRS, #EDA and #ECG. Long-term, I want to transition deeper into actual #BCI, #HMI, physiological computing, and #consciousnessresearch. 🧠💻
I value open science and ethical, decentralized systems. This philosophy drives my work with Volt Europa (evidence-based policy/open infrastructure) and my support for the Chaos Computer Club (#CCC). I chose neuromatch.social over corporate platforms like LinkedIn to connect with people who care about genuine scientific exchange, not algorithms and self-promotion.
Let's connect!

NLnet
@nlnet@social.nlnet.nl
We are NLnet foundation. We support organisations and people who contribute to an open internet for all. If you are working on a project that helps fix the internet through open hardware, open software, open standards, open science and open data, we invite you to apply for a grant. We're lead of the @NGIZero coalition which runs several programmes to fund those who are building free and open source technologies for the Next Generation Internet. After an historical contribution to the early internet in Europe in the 1980's, we've been financially supporting the open internet since 1997. We like hex stickers.
