Sometimes what we need to hear isn't

"It's okay to realize something isn't working for you."

"You didn't fail. You learned something, and that counts."
Sometimes pushing hard and cheering someone on is helpful to them. But it's just as important to realize when someone needs your compassion and gentleness, and to hear that they're still wonderful in your eyes if they don't, or didn't, meet their goals.
