According to the company, more than 99% of artists actively searched for by users will be verified at launch, a roster that includes hundreds of thousands of musicians, largely independent and from diverse genres and countries. Tänään kypsyi pitkään pohdittu ajatus. Olen päättänyt tehdä ihmiskokeen ja luopua kaikista amerikkalaisista digipalveluista tämän vuoden aikana. Haluan tietää tarkoittaako se todella paluuta 90-luvulle. Jaan tällä kanavalla satunnaisesti kokemuksiani. Toistaiseksi YouTubesta luopuminen sujui hyvin: Luovuin jo aiemmin Spotifysta ja käytin hetken YouTuben musiikkisovellusta musiikin kuunteluun, myös premium versiota. Nyt siirryin ranskalaiseen Deezeriin, joka mainostaa itseään myös tekijöille reiluna tässä junamatkan aikana. Voin ilokseni kertoa, että sain siirrettyä muutamassa minuutissa ja hyvin helposti kaikki soittolistani Deezeriin. Tämä onnistuu sekä Spotifysta että YouTubesta. Eli vaihto oli todella helppo ja kivuton. Deezerin premium versiossa ei ole lainkaan mainoksia eikä se ole sen kalliimpi kuin YouTuben vastaava. Itse huomaan vain positiivisia eroja aiempaan. Deezerin valikoima musiikin suhteen näyttää ainakin ensisilmäyksellä yhtä hyvältä kuin Spotifyssa ja YouTubessa. Kokonaisuudessaan sovellus on jopa parempi kuin YouTuben vastaava. En näe mitään syytä miksi kenenkään pitäisi enää käyttää ainakaan musiikin kuunteluun YouTubea tai Spotifyta. Eurooppa 1 USA 0. Olen päättänyt luopua seuraavaksi gmailista.
