I have been thinking this for a while. The #CPC has spent more than a decade mocking, infantilizing, emasculating, demonizing the
leader of the #Liberal party as a matter of course. They tried last year to demonize #Carney running blood red, vampire teeth Carney.
Interesting that haven't been emptying the coffers in another lost cause.
The #Conservatives have become less and less relevant. And they have a 20+ year career politician who doesn't know how to act as a statesman.
You have to earn respect.

There are plenty of places to go to read smart independent pundits looking at #CanPol from the outside; but if you want to learn what MPs and other insiders of the Liberal party think, then go read the *Toronto Star*.
Similarly, this article in the #NationalPost tells you how the #CPC feels about their prospects at the moment. In a word: bleak. And with no real solutions.

@dyckron@cosocial.ca Well, there is an obvious challenger from the #CPC, it's just that there's no one who would be a more effective challenger, according to the polls. Canadians will eventually realise that the PM doesn't walk on water, then the polls will change.

The 2025 #CPC campaign was mostly about high cost-of-living and the housing crisis, not about outrage. It's a mistake to confuse the posts that the X algorithm gives notoriety and what actually motivates party members and voters.

With Orban's loss, and (hopefully) the waning influence of he who must not be named south of the border, the "populists" days may be numbered. PP will hamg around being annoying until the #CPC comes to their collective senses.
