@NMBA@mstdn.ca The #TrumpTariffs are obviously bad for Canada, but it's equally obvious that #MarkCarney's poll numbers rise when Canadians see him as standing up against the US. As for the #NationalPost, I've been reading it since the 1990s. Their editorial line hasn't really changed, supporting normal #conservative policies like free trade, rule of law and NATO, unlike the Trump Administration. There are MAGA sympathisers in Canada, but not the *NP*. #CanPol #cdnpoli

It was created to offer a #conservative perspective on Canadian affairs, and so it naturally endorses conservative parties.
