Il Tempo: Benzina e gasolio fuori controllo: il piano Meloni per evitare la mazzata alla pompa
Una nuova proroga, di 7-10 giorni, degli sconti sulle accise sul diesel: è questa la soluzione cui lavora il governo in vista della scadenza dell'ultimo provvedimento, giovedì alla mezzanotte. Una nuova soluzione tampone, mentre tecnici e forze di maggioranza studiano gli aiuti selettivi annunciati dalla premier Giorgia Meloni, giustificata dalla estrema incertezza dello scenario geopolitico che influisce sui prezzi dei carburanti. Il petrolio sui mercati internazionali viaggia sui livelli massimi, con il Brent a 107 dollari al barile. E sotto osservazione c'è anche la benzina, esclusa da questa tornata di sconti, ma i cui aumenti - oggi il prezzo medio è 2,120 euro al litro in città e 2,212 euro in autostrada - preoccupano non poco, tanto che non è escluso si debba intervenire anche su questo capitolo.
Una nuova proroga consentirebbe anche di definire con più precisione lo scenario in cui muoversi per gli interventi economici, visto che il 22 settembre si saprà se il rapporto deficit/Pil resterà sopra o sotto la soglia del 3% che decide l'uscita dalla procedura di infrazione europea. Una variabile che influirà sulle risorse che il governo avrà a disposizione per alleviare il peso della corsa dei prezzi dei carburanti e in generale per la manovra di bilancio da delineare a metà ottobre. Sul tavolo c'è un buono carburanti una tantum. Una ipotesi in campo da mesi, anche se su modalità e platea non c'è convergenza in maggioranza. Agganciarlo all'Isee? Assegnarlo in busta paga o sulla social card? E come tenere dentro i lavoratori autonomi e pensionati? Questi i nodi, tecnici ma anche politici, ancora da sciogliere.
Resta poi il dato di fatto che senza più lo sconto sulle accise il diesel balzerebbe vicino alla soglia dei due euro e mezzo. Già ora, ai prezzi attuali, secondo i conti datti dall'Adusbef, la spesa per i rifornimenti di diesel, calcolando due pieni al mese, sale di quasi +695 euro annui ad autovettura rispetto ai prezzi medi del gasolio in vigore nel 2025. "L'escalation senza sosta dei listini alla pompa rischia di provocare un effetto tsunami sulle famiglie", avverte il Codacons, per il quale "interventi selettivi e bonus legati al reddito non appaiono soluzioni adeguate".

A variable that will influence the resources the government will have available to alleviate the weight of fuel prices and in general for the budget maneuver to be outlined by mid-October. There is a fuel voucher on the table. An idea being discussed for months, although there is no consensus within the majority regarding modalities and beneficiaries. Linking it to the ISEE? Assigning it on paychecks or through social cards? And how to include self-employed workers and pensioners? These are the knots, technical but also political, that still need to be resolved.
The fact remains that without the discount on fuel taxes, diesel would rise close to €2.50. Currently, at current prices, according to calculations by Adusbef, the cost of diesel refills, calculating two full tanks per month, increases by almost +€695 annually per vehicle compared to the average price of gasoil in force in 2025. “The relentless escalation of pump prices risks provoking a tsunami effect on families,” warns Codacons, for whom "selective aid and income-linked bonuses do not appear as adequate solutions."
