Is that what's going on with #MitchMcConnell ? As for letting someone with #Alzheimers make decisions, #Trump is still in office... Kay Granger, Pathbreaking Texas Congresswoman, Dies at 83 She was the first Republican woman from the state to be elected to the House. It caused a stir in 2024 when she was discovered to be residing in a senior living facility while still in office. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/03/us/politics/kay-granger-dead.html cc: @IsMitchMcConnellDeadYet@kolektiva.social #WeekendAtBernies #USPol #25thAmendment #NotFitForOffice #TrumpIsNotFitForOffice

An experimental Alzheimer's drug lowered tau protein and showed early signs of slowing decline in a study of about 400 people. Larger trials still need to confirm the benefit, but it points to a new treatment path beyond amyloid. 'Our ability to smell is linked to brain health, and losing this sense is often one of the first signs of neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. About 85 percent of people with early-stage Alzheimer’s have problems smelling'. https://wapo.st/4fLVSkb *I don't have a guest link, I am looking for one, if you have one please share. #PublicHealth #Health #BrainHealth #Dementia #NeurogenerativeDisorders #Alzheimers #Parkinsons #Covid19

Looking for an Android app that will create binaural beats in audio streamed to the device by other apps - audiobooks via Audible, audio via YT etc. (Search engines return a morass of binaural beat app but nothing that works on the fly. I know I can download the streams then use Audicity or similar to change the frequency in one of the channels. I do not want to do this. 😉 ) #AndroidApps #BinauralBeats #Audiobooks #AgedCare #MemoryTherapy #Dementia #Alzheimers #LifeAsAnExperiment

wow. What a strange world we now live in. "Brain-imaging research suggests that psilocybin temporarily breaks down the rigid, segregated boundaries that isolate large-scale brain networks from one another. By forcing surviving, under-utilized neural clusters to communicate in entirely new ways, the drug may make buried abilities accessible for a limited time." https://neurosciencenews.com/psilocybin-memory-alzheimers-30084/ #alzheimers #magicmushrooms #psilocybin #MedicalTreatment
