Opposing #AIPAC, or even #apartheid and the #GazaGenocide, doesn't automatically equate to opposing #Israel. At its core, Israel is a #SettlerColonial entity where #Jews #occupy #StolenLand taken from Palestinians. That is the #issue at hand, underlying everything else.

Israel has long relied on an informal lobbying network made up of American citizens and organizations such as AIPAC and CUFI. Now, the Israeli government is employing foreign agents to target specific demographic groups with greater precision and speed. The Israeli government has spent more than $1 billion on public diplomacy since October 7, 2023, and that spending is expected to double. Its efforts focus on evangelicals, conservatives, and young Americans through tactics such as paying social media influencers directly, funding large-scale text messaging campaigns, and hiring companies to build networks of websites designed to influence how AI chatbots respond to questions about and portray Israel. So y'all, #Section219 of the #NDDA passed the #House. The #Senate has their own version. Section 219 would require the secretary of defense to designate an “executive agent” at the Pentagon, tasked only with cooperation with #Israel. The technology domains named in the bill include data sharing, missile defense, counter-drone systems, cyber capabilities, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, directed-energy weapons, biotechnology, and defense manufacturing. The bill also includes another $750 million for U.S.-Israel cooperative programs, according to #AIPAC, which sponsored the legislation. Those sums come on top of an existing 10-year agreement that provides Israel $3.3 billion per year in direct military financing plus $500 million annually for missile defense cooperation through 2028. This, at the same time the #Pentagon has declared Israel a "critical threat". So long American sovereignty. The house had passed the 1.15 trillion NDAA, including deepening ties with Israel and they did it with Democrat support. "This is the dumb trick the Dem Party has been using on their followers for years now. When something they pretend to oppose “must pass” (like the NDAA), they ensure there are just enough Dem votes for it to pass, even if it’s just by one vote." As well as spending millions of dollars to defeat progressive candidates, and spinning off a spiderweb of sub pacs, #AIPAC has gone full scorched earth to elect republicans in midterms by talking about how Dems take money from aipac. Easy problem to solve y’all. Don’t take money from foreign terrorists, it’s not hard. If you have taken their money, be public about giving it back and why.
