We have a problem. I just opened the mod account and saw that our account request got absolutely swamped by bots. Not sure how to handle this... Is there any ethical& privacy friendly #captcha out there? any other ideas?? When's the last time you went to Preferences > Accounts and checked how many sessions you've got open? Assumes standard Mastodon 4.x. Not Misskey, its variants, or other frontends. #Accounts #Fediverse #Mastodon #Security

Habt ihr euch eigentlich schon mal Gedanken über euren digitalen #Nachlass gemacht? Was passiert mit euren #Daten, euren #Accounts oder den #Diensten, die ihr betreibt, wenn ihr plötzlich nicht mehr da seid? Wer sorgt dafür, dass Hinterbliebene Zugriff auf wichtige Informationen bekommen? Wer kümmert sich darum, dass Server, Domains und andere #IT geordnet übergeben oder abgeschaltet werden? Ich frage mich gerade, ob man sich dafür nicht mit ein paar vertrauenswürdigen Menschen zusammenschliessen könnte. Vermutlich braucht es gar nicht so viel: regelmässig Passwortdatenbanken austauschen, sicherstellen, dass die Schlüssel dafür nach dem #Tod an den Kreis der Nachlassverwalter übergeben werden, und rechtlich sauber regeln, wer Zugriff auf die Systeme und laufenden Dienstleistungen erhält. Also eine Art Handlungsvollmacht für die digitale Welt nach dem eigenen Ableben. Wie habt ihr das vorgesehen? Gibt es bei euch schon einen Plan für den digitalen Nachlass?

So , day 2 on the #fediverse. Gonna play more with the #tag bot which I think may be overactivated if we put enough effort in this. I got suggestion of #accounts to foolow ! Which it's great since yesterday was lackluster about building a feed. I'm glad I found this random ass #instance with the over the top char limit, I mean 500 is good but I don't like sending bazillion messages to get my point so win/win I guess ? Anyway #coffee time and maybe some voluntary abuse (#work)
