"Everyone deserves to see the sky and breathe fresh air.
But the Allan Government’s No Air in Prison Bill seeks to stop people behind bars from having at least one hour of fresh air each day in prison.
This is a cruel attack on basic human dignity that will disproportionately harm incarcerated First Nations people and other people stuck in solitary confinement.
The Allan Government must stop shrugging off human rights responsibilities that are meant to protect us all and should abandon this Bill."
