Volkswagen is moving forward with plans to cut 100,000 jobs and close four plants in Germany, the deepest attack on VW workers ever and part of a global wave of layoffs in the auto industry.

The Tuesday night debate between Michigan Democratic Party candidates for US Senate Abdul El-Sayed and Haley Stevens demonstrated that any differences between them are subordinated to their fundamental support for capitalism and the two-party system.

As is par for the course, ICE did not provide a shred of evidence corroborating its account of events, echoing numerous fabrications put forward to justify deadly incidents involving Trump’s Department of Homeland Security.

Hypocritical condemnation from US Pacific allies over Chinese missile test

All of those governments criticising the Chinese ballistic missile launch are deeply involved with US war planning against China through basing arrangements for American forces and boosting their own military budgets.

Israel’s war on Gaza continues, deliberately targeting children

Since the ceasefire, at least 265 children have been killed, many shot or shelled near the ill‑defined “Yellow Line”: a boundary Israel uses to justify lethal force.

Kenya and Tanzania deploy security forces against Gen-Z-led Saba Saba protests

Kenya and Tanzania’s youth opposition are part of a single continental and global process, driven by the same underlying conditions. In both countries the youth have shown they can transcend the ethnic divisions long exploited by the ruling class.

Keiko Fujimori declared Peru’s president: The historical roots of fujimorism and the bankruptcy of the pseudo-left

Fujimori’s victory is not an isolated episode. It confirms that fujimorism has remained for more than three decades the organizing axis of bourgeois rule in Peru—surviving the fall of the dictatorship, the death of its founder, and successive institutional crises.

Ahead of NATO summit, Ankara proclaims its “indispensability” to the imperialist war machine

Appearing willing to take on a greater role in Europe’s “security” and to assume new NATO obligations, the Turkish political establishment is using this card to strengthen its hand—above all against its regional rivals Israel and Greece—and to secure the interests of the Turkish bourgeoisie.
