This appears to be the band’s only official release. A self-produced E.P. Apparently, at the time, Montreal’s pop scene was overrun with major-label economics. So this recording garnered some attention for being so independent and sounding SO good. THE WAR ON DRUGS Slave Ambient 2011 U.S. 2xLP @ #45rpm A band I’ve always liked, but I’m still waiting on them to make an album as good as this one from front to back. Lost In The Dream came close, but there’s some clips or songs on that one, whereas this is pretty much a perfect record start to finish. “Come To The City” is such a good tune, as is “Baby Missiles”, which is one my band and I have tacked on to the end of our sets when our originals have been exhausted, and we need to stretch it out for a few extra minutes. Really great record from a very good band.
