I'm a blind and autistic, non binary CodeVoid gender being enjoying embedded Linux and microcontrollers for the past 7 years. Also dealing with networking (iptables/netfilter, wireguard). I love making professional audio recordings (fieldrecording) and I like helping others.
I'm also pluralistic and part of a very diverse system. We don't switch often, although it might be possible to notice it in changing behaviors.

I’ve now implemented and tested delivery priority of notifications on all three platforms and ensured it works. Ntfy's various priority levels are matched to the delivery priorities of mac, IoS and WatchOS. Level 1 priority is fully passive, 2 is passive plus sound, 3 is active, 4 and 5 are time sensitive. If I could, I'd make priority 5 critical, but that is not to be as this is locked behind an entitlement. Oh yes, and all of this is also fully customisable from the hopefully sane default settings.

I've now made an apple watch version and its companion for iOS. It doesn't just passively mirror notifications either, you can actively open the app, look at topics that were synced from the companion app, clear notifications from the local history, have a detail view for the selected notification. Of course both apps have actions implemented in the VoiceOver rotor. A shame they will be of no real use unless I can somehow one day get a payed apple developer account. But then there is also the fact that having one of these will disclose my legal name for everyone to see, which I'm completely uncomfortable doing due to being trans. Oh well. I guess at least it showed that I can make a nice port of an app of all three platforms.

@UndeadLeech@fosstodon.org @jecture@mastodon.social My bad then, I do stand corrected. That was me trying to research and I’ve never pretended everything I said was acurate. That was, at best, my understanding of how things worked. I gave the example for llm sure but there are a whole lot of apps I could have also picked. Lets see: nmtui, aerc, toot mastodon client in interactive mode, armbian’s config utility that does not in fact rely on the traditional menuconfig. These are the ones I can recall right now off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others, and I simply forgot them.

@johann@dragonscave.space Yes, I did. It is hosted inside a systemd-nspawn container that runs on a bigger machine, with http only because it’s not exposed directly to the outside world directly. Rather, there is a second systemd-nspawn container that has access to it over the local network, which runs a nginx reverse proxy that forwards to the appropriate subdomain. It handles tls too. For the ntfy itself, I setup accounts, with no open registration.

Well, I just made this for myself, using cursor with the model selection left on auto.
Pretty damn good if I do say so myself.
It feels nice to no longer be stuck when someone else can't help, or won't help make something. Where someone may criticise me because I’m not submitting patches. Where someone might criticise me because I am unable to learn code and they'd rather think I'm a liar when I say so.
I don't need to do any of this with AI. I can make things, finally, without being judged (other than by irrational AI haters, that is).

@ToniBarth@troet.cafe @fubsepude@mhh.fedihost.io Right, that is no problem with me. Just thought I'd point this out. Maybe the best path forwards then is to mention this in the readme, given the open me first script doesn't quite seem to work as painlessly as you hoped it would? Just a thought. Seems there would be no point keeping this in the repo if you have to pick between unblocking this or the app bundle itself. Mac might be a bit on the annoying side with this, but at least it's not like that horrible crap of windows defender always removing things from your machine without your say so. I’ll take mac gatekeeper over this every single day.

@ToniBarth@troet.cafe @fubsepude@mhh.fedihost.io FWIW I ended up having to actually unblock the open me first that is meant to remove the attributes from the app bundle... So I suppose in the end it would have been the same if I had ran the .app itself. I don't reckon that was expected though?

Do they think that just because they make 100 of this and 100 families get them that will solve the problem of having everyone on their phone at the table? I swear I understand humans less and less with every day that goes by.

That is, go bancrupt without even having a shred of decency to inform their user base the investor's money ran out and they're going to sink. Having to learn that your glasses are basically useless to you and that you will never get a refund in a third party podcast not affiliated with the company has to be the most horrible way of learning about the problems the company faced.

@modulux@node.isonomia.net @quetzatl@mastodon.social @pixelate@tweesecake.social The removal of the vt subsystem was what I was refering to. Not coming from the kernel folks, but rather the distro folks like fedora, which heavily drives the development of systemd and other distros. Can you imagine that? Having to get a full wayland stack with at-spi and orca just to get a terminal? I cannot. And the extremely ableist comments from the kernel mailing list drove it home for me. Nicolas Pitre himself is pissed off about this change. And noone listens to him in all of this. What chance do the rest of us have?

@ivan_soto@dragonscave.space I kind of wish teamtalk would get a freaking move on and update from 5.19 on iOS, honestly. I've has to stop using it entirely because ever since iOS 26 with the reworked audio subsystem, my microphone is not working even though teamtalk claims it should be working. Even though I see the microphone icon in the status bar. Etc. Oh yeah and don't get me started on that stupid issue that has been present for years where as soon as you launch teamtalk your audio gets stuffed into the earpiece and you can't get it out of there. Or the bit more recent one where you lose audio if someone quits the server where you're connected.

I'm asking because I wanted to run ci/cd for a git I'm hosting, but everything being hosted inside nspawn containers, well. Yikes, I guess. And I absolutely refuse to polute the host with a mess as horrible as docker. No way no how.
