@peritia@alovely.space I think it's a good critique, and I have the same sentiment toward most of the points. At the same time, I feel like #nixos is changing in a good direction, slowly but steady (including the forks). It's aware of its github centralization, flakes have their issues but they were born out of the desire to decentralize, (I'm quite okay with them), and it continues evolving (see lix plans). For systemd I see efforts changing nixos towards supporting alternatives, there are already distributions without systemd (sixos), and the new modular services seems to be geared towards allowing systemd alternatives (https://nixos.org/manual/nixos/stable/#modular-services) And finally, the official wiki (not nixos.wiki) has improved A LOT and the same goes for search.nixos.org
