@grimalkina Please feel free to tell your spouse that their work is appreciated. My most memorable (in a good way!) teachers were in the sciences, and in English. Thanks to the latter, I know how to convey my thoughts cogently (but not concisely, alas). Thanks to the former, I can detect some variants of bullshit waay better than I might otherwise, and can reason about how something works, or how to solve a practical problem. All of these come in handy on a near-daily basis.

I made a conscious decision to forego access to these so I would not need to put the thing on the network. But it's very annoying that this tradeoff even needed to be considered. Bosch 800 series, in case anyone cares.

@bagder@mastodon.social The PSF's commendable action aside, it is interesting that the US government is implicitly saying that they *want to* surrender open source security safety, security, for attacks on DEI. That means they figure that less ethical organizations will fill the gap, or they dont really care about security, etc in the first place.
