@servo It would be nice if there would be a way to donate any amount non-reoccuring to Servo. Because, as far I can tell you only offer fixed amounts of reoccurring donations, which is part of the reason I haven't donated yet :(

If I hadn't included the URL in the screenshot, many people would probably have thought it's TikTok: deceptive button design, legal agreements as small print, and telling the user to make an account, even if they initiated no action that indicated they would want to do that.

@davidrevoy I'm very frustrated and concerned about AI – not because it will "take over the world" or some conspiracy like that, but because it's going down the same path as blockchain and other technologies regarding cryptocurrency, tokens, etc.
It's a good and interesting technology, but the problem is that it's used as a marketing term and for all kinds of "bullsh*" which ruins the reputation of the technology as a whole and burns everyone in the process.
(The Em dash is not there because I used AI, but because I'm trying uncommon and almost "dead" but useful text elements like the semicolon ; for example, while keeping things language accurate)

It’s a YouTube video by Fern about the former special agency called “Stasi” in East Germany. It goes into detail about various practices the Stasi used to spy on and even harm targets, including German citizens. I think it’s quite informative; I encourage everyone interested in government surveillance to watch it. Please note that the video is historical and that East Germany today is very different from what it used to be.
