a few of my mom’s photos curated by my dad for her memorial site.
Thinking about that scene in The Martian Chronicles when the Martian dies from being seen by too many people and because it tries to adapt to reflect what each person needs/wants to see in it, it can’t keep itself coherent. I remember seeing that on tv when I was young and feeling immense sadness.
Widow’s Bay is interesting. Not quite sure it’s balancing the different tonalities it is playing with but it’s fun so far.
Long and upsetting dream about being displaced from an apartment and forced to try and find another place to live. These kinds of dreams are happening more often as it gets closer to my moving at the end of July.
Was recently introduced to the Boston band Karate and really enjoying checking out their music from the 90s-00s. They also released new music a couple of years ago.
Just woke from dreams about being homeless which is not something I’m facing and is very unlikely to be something I face. However I am facing emotional and physical displacement and will be moving soon Also there were cats and a scene where i was trying to stop them from eating my spilled meds.
Normally I share my Bandcamp page, but I also do have a website. I'm also considering setting up a store to sell tracks directly from there at some point and mostly as a proof of concept that I can create an ecommerce site in case I get back into trying to do web design for artists and academics.
A huge long shot but there was a comedy sketch show in the 1980s called Comedy Zone. I’ve only found two episodes on YouTube. I don’t think it was ever released on home media so if anyone has video recordings of episodes I’d love to find a way to get access to them.
@karchie@freeradical.zone you might enjoy the New Sounds show and archive for a lot of attention to contemporary composers. https://www.wnyc.org/shows/newsounds
My next music release, the third in my Empty Spaces series of EPs, will release on June 5 and is available for pre-order on Bandcamp. If you are interested in writing about the EP for a publication and want a download code for both tracks, let me know.
I have a #writer friend (Nat Cassidy) who said that they found my album Science Fictions to be good music for writing.

I’m going to be moving near Bath, Maine in August and looking to make some connections with #queer or #trans folk (or #allies) who might be within an hour of there to make connections and new friends. I have a place for 5-6 months and will be looking for housing as well in the Bath or Portland areas after that.
