Oh! Oh! By default, only the map data is shown, to avoid slamming photo tile providers. But if you want to map an area using an imagery source, you shine a light or slop some paint on that area and it renders the selected aerial imagery over that area. #VR #OpenStreetMap

Google Earth VR, but an OpenStreetMap editor.

Imagine striding across the landscape, picking out points with your VR controllers and selecting presets and editing tools with your thumbsticks on pie menus. Doesn't that sound amazing?

Just putting this out there: I have ADHD, and therefore suck at carrying out big projects, but I have a fair bit of experience troubleshooting code, understanding computer science concepts, and doing systems engineering tasks. If anybody out there wants to get in touch and try to make this happen...

I tried to go te a furmeet over the weekend, but I misunderstood the intructions I was given and showed up just a tiny bit too late. Thankfully, it was in a public place where there were still interesting things to do rather than just "turn around and go back home" so I got to see a bunch of stragglers wandering around a public place in adorable fursuits and then hung out with a couple furry friends. It was a good time, despite the mix-up.

That night, I had the old classic nightmare about being late to work, but then the dream turned positive when it turned out it wasn't a normal work day - I was just in time to engage in a special project meeting that turned into an office party where a bunch of people pulled out fursuits and enjoyed being themselves in the office.

The furry fandom saved me from a nightmare. 🥰

@TechConnectify I am so ready for this series! I spent the day modeling the behavior of a capacitive fuel level sensor with the goal of estimating the effects of water and biofuel blends in the fuel tank. I bet you can see why I'm so excited!
