New on A Place For My Head (1/4):
I’ve dragged my feet enough… it’s time to gradually upgrade my three #Proxmox systems. I just upgraded one from 8.3 to 8.4. Another is still at 8.3. The last is still at 8.0. The newest version is 9.2. I’ll just bump everything to 8.4 tonight and let that sit before I tackle the major version. (`pve8to9` shows no issues on the newly-8.4 system.)
I wanna set up a #selfhosted runner for #CI in my new #Forgejo instance. I’d appreciate any thoughts on Forgejo Runner vs. #Drone vs. #Harness vs. #WoodpeckerCI. It’s hard to understand the relative pros and cons.
I’ve got a good amount of experience with #GitLab CI, #GitHub Actions, and (sighs) #Bitbucket Pipelines (plus a tiny bit of #Jenkins that we’ll pretend never happened), so I’m pretty adaptable.
At last: self-hosted #GitLab Runner, meet self-hosted cache! No more remote object storage with bizarre rate limiting, so no more cache pull/push timeouts and absurdly long jobs. For those interested, I’m using s3proxy backed by a regular ZFS dataset.
Next up: move to #Forgejo Runner. That’s gonna take a while ’cause of the changes in Forgejo v15, though. I fully intend to procrastinate.
@bobmonsour@indieweb.social @11ty@neighborhood.11ty.dev The Generation AI summary caught me off-guard: I initially thought it was an error, then I looked again and realized it was in Finnish. The html element on the front page has a lang="fi" on it, so I started to wonder if it might be worth adding that indicator somewhere in these links. But at the same time, it doesn’t seem that important for these showcase links.
