The crime has happened, the question is twofold: 1) will huggingface bring civil action? 2) will someone bring a criminal case? I suspect the case would revolve around has this happened before (sounds like it has) was the outcome likely (internal communication would indicate on that) were the safeguards adequate. Don’t forget common law has precedence, if brought as a criminal action, could define bot liability

the meta avatar team have a full body scan of him (used for that demo with the dull podcaster). There are little to no controls in that data as it’s “just” research.

But, they also didn’t colour calibrate the cameras, so it all has a green hue. It’s fucking hilarious the amount of money they spent on it and didn’t include a £40 Macbeth chart to make sure the colours are consistent.

@bloor@bloor.tw we bought some shitty shielded cable for the theatre. It felt quite nice, very flexible and thick. It was bulked out by string. Ok for strain relief, and was reasonably hard wearing. The down side was the shielding made long runs quite capacitive. So if we had phantom powered mics, and someone stomped on the cable, it’d pick it up and make a loins booming noise.
