Hey Sound Blaster users, does someone know if the Sound Blaster Live! (First, gold version) has an embedded amplified jack output to connect weak sounding speakers (my Microspot 5W speakers with the internal amplifier dead, using then direct signal which needs to be amp'd first), and if available where to control the amp in #Windows98 original Creative software ? Thanks 🤗 #retrocomputing

Got that subtility between human and consumer for US corps AND some EU corps too you work with ? Just forget any kind of humanity, that's just money. The tomorrow's consumer is what you call "children" and "teen". It's good to target big ones like tiktok the press talk about, but nothing about the other MAGAs (and EU corporations), including the ones you pay for to run Teams™ or PowerPoint™ 🤔

@EUCommission Unused phone means bad hardware then ? Europe kills GSM networks, garbaging lots of working devices, and let big tech companies cheating customers by telling them to change their WORKING phones every 2-3 years. Got a Nokia 3310 ? 👍 Was European, rock solid, made to call & text using standards. 👎 Today, networks used killed, European company bought by big tech, US Android as the only OS, loaded with GAFAM bloatware, locked stores and RCS as the texting standard. Where's EU?

Ah tiens la France est pauvre, elle travaille trop et l'essence est trop chère. Mais traverser le pays pour rester 3 jours sur l'île d'Oleron (pareil pour Ré), aucun souci. Le Français est laïc, mais venir faire la messe au soleil, ça a l'air sacré...

@treefifty@mastodon.social Yes, very specific to a SGI model, and I use an "older" revision not compatible with latest Indigo2 models 😁 and any plastic part on Ebay costs as if it was DDR4/5 😁

@aemstuz @fdroidorg that's a big caveat, as AI is a very problematic issue regarding reliability and security. Exactly what F-Droid is supposed to provide against Play Store. I don't understand how F-Droid can slip on slop and cry about Google doing sh*t (officially) for security concerns on the same time. We're giving reasons to Google by doing this...

This way, they control everything and can open source, close when they want, or make the CPU not supported when they want - the Apple way. Same for Qualcomm. There's anything open source and it does kill any side project. Pixels are the basic development platform, making them a bit more open, but it stops here. On a Pixel, you can install any OS but Android.

@fdroidorg@floss.social Keep going on guys 🙏❤️ but we do know what Android not became, but always be : Google's Monopoly toy. Time to switch to another system. Urgently we do need projects like @postmarketOS@social.treehouse.systems or Mobian to go from testers to full daily use, with smartphones built with open hardware. No way to keep Qualcomm/Android in this deal because one forces you to use the other one... Nice hardware and software locking system that Microsoft would love too !
