@Vleeuwe @nechesh @itsfoss yes, pretty easily in fact. Desktop mode is very easy to access and comes with a built in software catalog.

@kirtai @alice reminds me of my neighbour when I was younger who named her cat Whiskey. To her credit she was NOT afraid to shout it out loudly and repeatedly in the evening.

@simonzerafa@infosec.exchange @lcamtuf@infosec.exchange there's another book in there with a very elegant counter proof that was too long to put into the margins of the first vook

@munin@infosec.exchange I'm catching myself using those a lot recently and every single time it's at the very least better to leave them out and usually a sign that I should double check if what I'm saying is actually as simple as I assume.

@dgar@aus.social the small but important distinction is that sudo doesn't give you want you want. It gives you what you ask for.

@hakfoo@mstdn.party @neilsardesai@mastodon.social I remember this as well, but never quite understood the details. Which, I guess, was part of the idea: it wasn't necessary to understand it, it was easily use intuitively. I also seem to remember that it didn't necessarily print one "*" for each typed letter, but "grouped" them in some way, so it wasn't even possible to "read" the length of the password purely from observing the password entry field.

@denschub@mastodon.schub.social @gregandcin@mindly.social but that's for code only. Sure, that's usually the most important part, but it can be quite the significant drawback if issue tracking, wiki and maybe even discussion forums are just gone (or can't be used going forward). Don't underestimate how much there is to FOSS that isn't just code.
