Hey cis people & people desperately trying to convince themselves they're cis.
I wanted to clarify something that my newly out friend reminded me y'all don't know.
Affirming HRT dramatically changes you. Estrogen will soften your skin, change your facial fat distribution and give you breasts and hips.
A lot of what you see about your body isn't bone structure. It's fat distribution. That can - and does - change dramatically on HRT.
So yes, there's mental effects - some people's brains just work better on Testosterone & some on Estrogen.
And honestly, emotional range and regulation is awesome.
That's why a lot of trans folks describe suddenly seeing the world in colour, or being able to cry, or [insert stereotypical response here]
But also let's be clear, despite what brainwormed idiots on 4chan say, in your 30s, 40s and even beyond HRT can and will change your body.
So yes, if you're like unaware of this, to reiterate, my breasts grew not using magic, they weren't surgically implanted through breast augmentation (not that there's anything wrong with that). I grew them the old fashioned way - using drugs.
I wasn't twinky pre transition, I was weetabix shaped.
Oh and if you're like "I need to do x to improve my body before I start E/T", you know what'll really help?
Having your brain running on the hormone it is intended to work on. Not feeling like garbage every day. Experiencing the world in a way you can be present in it & get to feel joy and happiness.
Anyway, this has been your regularly scheduled post from the Trans Agenda.
I'm off to go look cute in exercise gear.
