@Jirikiha@raphus.social I’ve done that a few times! Trick is to take a bit of it and spread it thin on parchment paper. Let that dry out and put the flakes in the freezer to resuscitate in case of neglect.

@holly@social.v.st oh I know, first one I was on (at 16) was gonna be a murder-suicide if I stayed on it (I lasted 3 days)
Thankfully this is the same progestin they gave me as add-back when I was on Lupron, so I should tolerate it ok

@b@mrrp.place thanks! yeah, I think I probably DO need to increase dose, they don’t even want to test me and from what I hear the tests are not always the most reliable (unsure if it’s a measurement thing or a wild fluctuations thing).
Rectal is probably not an option as it’s a combined estrogen/progestin pill and I have Crohn’s.

I did talk to a gyno about this today and she was Not Helpful - “here, try this OTHER oral contraceptive with the same estradiol dose and the same dose of a different progesterone” I feel like this is going to do fuck-all

Please boost this thread, y’all - I feel like the doctors will gaslight me on this shit even WITH the terminal degree privilege, but this is Fedi and there are some hella smart sisters on here who are up on their reading, out of necessity, and I am new to this cycling thing with my not-bleeding and I do not care for it

Hey well-researched trans sisters (and any relevant MDs on here), I’m struggling here: I’m pretty sure I’m perimenopausal.
I’ve been on oral contraceptives continuously for 20 years. Never used to experience ANY cycling. But now? What the fuck.
I get bad migraines once a month. I’m cranky. All my tendons are angery. But I don’t bleed.
Why am I cycling despite consistent dosing of estrogen and progesterone???

Forgot to update: saffron/sour cherry is easily the best sourdough I have ever baked. I should have taken photos. I baked 2 loaves and both were completely gone within a day. Glad to have shared them with the queer climbing fam (also, seems like it really helps to have a bribe of baked goods when I need volunteers for tabling)

@noodlemaz @afewbugs here to second the “just skip your period” option - I’ve been doing it for ~20 years. I’m on the pill that lets you have a period every 3 months, and my doc writes the prescription so that I can just skip the placebo week and not bleed. (I did occasionally get a little spotting if I went on antibiotics or something.) It has kept my endometriosis very quiet, really no ill effects.

A disproportionate number of people I’m close to were eggs who ended up cracking and transitioning after we met. The running joke is that I’m an asymptomatic carrier (I don’t really have a gender myself)

This weekend’s experimental sourdough is saffron cherry. Let’s see how this turns out.
I usually bring the second loaf to work, but not this time.

Something I’ve learned: it’s usually better to just let men be wrong at work. Especially if they are very insistent and they’re more invested in the outcome than I am.
It’s easier not fighting them.

@rootwyrm interestingly, a human doctor did this exact thing to me recently - and she was right! turns out sulfa “allergies” in infancy don’t always mean it carries though in adulthood, babies are just sensitive little bastards.
Your point still stands and I agree with you.
