Humphries is an absolute legend, and this is a wonderful snapshot into what he was playing in the 80s as disco evolved into house.

really good to hear such a historical show in this high quality. played some wonderful records, like omg.

wild to think that this is like twice as old now as the Beatles were when he played this.

@deathkitten yes true very good point, native species is important, i'll try and do a bit of reading before buying anything, and will also look for stuff that just keeps coming back every year without replanting etc because that sounds too long if i would have to do it again. but totally agree, sometime the way to resist is to just quietly do something better.

@deathkitten ooh actually now i am looking at wild seeds there are various types, this would be really exciting to sneak a load of seeds around the place over the next 6-9 months and then just watch the garden explode with bluebells, foxgloves, wild garlic, really great idea thanks 😀

@deathkitten (neighbours = in my block of flats - so it's not even *their* garden but *ours*! nobody asked if it was ok to do it, but i am in a minority of people who prefer alive, vibrant, colourful gardens over short and trimmed and dead so i'd have been overruled anyway) really like your idea though, probably too late for this year but now i'm wondering if i can get a bag of bluebell seeds for next spring. you'd have to be a monster to mow a sea of bluebells 😄

some of my neighbours got annoyed that the grass was long and green and there were wild flowers growing on the garden.

so now the grass is short, yellow, crunches when you walk on it because it's so dry, and bare dry earth is showing everywhere, and there's a mound of grass trimmings that blows all over the place in the wind, getting in your face, eyes, hair.

amazing work guys. truly a+.

@davidnjoku yeah we weren't using it, which i'm sure makes that decision a lot easier if nobody is posting may as well delete. i do like to think we'd have got rid anyway, but it's certainly simpler when they didn't have to change anything.

@davidnjoku that is good! a few months ago back when the news hit that they were allowing people to generate all those images i wrote to my boss arguing why i felt we should delete our x account, he agreed and forwarded to comms team heard nothing for about a month then got an email "can you help us remove the twitter button from our site we no longer have it, basically because of your email" felt very good but also, no, i do not have the energy to bring them onto here either 😄

@badnetmask never used jira or trello really so not sure it's exactly what you're after, but vikunja does kanban and so on and they list a comparison with trello on their site so i guess they're aiming for a similar target. they have a demo instance to try it out if you like, see if it meets your needs and is similar enough to what you're used to: https://vikunja.io/

@laurenshof@indieweb.social it really is. just like mind-blowingly disconcerting. been thinking about how messed up uk was a few years ago when everybody at random panic-bought fuel. and you're right about treating it like february 2020, that's what i've been doing this week. reviewing what i need to stock up on etc. make sure i have enough dried food in the cupboard for the periods when the trucks don't have fuel to get to the shop, that kind of thing. would rather overreact than under.

Currently being exhibited in Warsaw - A Tiger Came Into The Garden: Art of Maria Prymachenko.

Prymachenko is a Ukrainian artist with a very striking and distinctive style.
