@fedora@fosstodon.org it seems wrong to me, that the pesign tool doesn't print certificate serial or fingerprint. Only common name display doesn't seem enough for checking certificates. But thank you for new commands to try.

@rachel@transitory.social @bagder@mastodon.social but having TLS cert contain relative name only is completely ridiculous. Names in certs are always absolute. TLS code should use the full name resolved. getaddrinfo() provides it in canonical field.

@marsik heh, I was scanning #meshcore coverage on nearby villages on my bike. Met only buzzard over my head, but failed to make a photo. Nonetheless, my Wio L1 needs built-in neighbor discovery. Better bike mount for the radio would help too.

@adamhavelka mělo by to být ztišené 3x zmáčknutím tlačítka. Mám v plánu to zlepšit v kódu, nedávno jsem konečně našel, kde se to tam ovládá. Současný stav je dobrý jenom pro zařízení s displejem.

@adamhavelka zrovna T1000E má do začátku dost bídné ovládání. Zvlášť, když člověk chce ztlumit hw buzzer, protože to má v práci a kolegové si stěžují na pípání. Ale můj první klient to byl taky. Wio L1 následovalo krátce poté. O dost lepší na různé hraní.

@gpshead@infosec.exchange @bagder@mastodon.social @dirkhh@hachyderm.io I disagree. First thing is you expect every upstream is paying for Claude access and is proficient with it or similar thing. That is not necessary true. Your report causes human work on it. If you can minimize their work on your report and have resources for it, proposal with fix included should be automatic. If that is not accepted, okay only few watts wasted.

Replying to @bagder@mastodon.social
@bagder@mastodon.social @dirkhh@hachyderm.io sure, that is expected. But flood of many reports need to be processed by maintainers. If they came together with a fix, is should be less work to the maintainer, in theory. If the proposal is decent enough. Cloning good maintainers is much harder than cloning AI analyzers. Increasing number of reports won't help without increasing number of entities fixing bugs. If you increased the first, please try also the latter.

@bagder@mastodon.social @dirkhh@hachyderm.io which is my opinion the most important problem with AI reports. If they can use AI to find issues, it should come with fixes as well. Ideally a test case attached for it as well. Then the burden on human maintainers would be only the review part, not everything else.

@cascheranno@hachyderm.io @david_chisnall@infosec.exchange @Arcaik@hachyderm.io @lerxst@az.social I think the good solution for missing "has to" is marking the device/OS not recommended for children. If you have clear indication this device has no parental controls and you give it to your child as a parent, it becomes *your responsibility*. I think that should be okay and not punished by the law. But parents should have that choice when purchasing the device available under simple to understand terms. Not only for IT experts.

Request correct implementation of the bill by your OS vendor. The bill itself is good IMHO. Details can go wrong, but that doesn't have to be. See, we are not using Usenet for our posts. Some things have changed, I think to better things very often. Not always, but that is up to us. Improving the world for everyone is a very difficult task.

@david_chisnall@infosec.exchange @cascheranno@hachyderm.io @Arcaik@hachyderm.io @lerxst@az.social why do you think you must give up privacy, if the OS has to be able to report age *group* for underage minors? If the bill is implemented well, it allows protecting privacy, but reporting some actions should not be allowed to this child. I think that is good idea.

Child should follow law of theirs guardians, not device vendor. If they live in a country with full independence in 21, okay. That information is needed for localisation and wireless protocols. Those are the only relevant. I cannot influence MS, but can do something on open systems, Linux distributions. Let's focus on those.
