so, I'm trying to learn and use #emacs and #orgroam, but I can't get rid of the warning of transient >= 0.13 requirement automatically, i.e. starting fresh with just an init.el, I always need some manual step to ensure the built-in version is overwritten. `package-install-upgrade-built-in` change rigorously nothing, same for `unload-feature+require`, `package-upgrade` and `use-package :pin gnu` or any combination of them I could make sense of. The only solution is M-x package-install and *clicking* the right package and then install. Anyone out there that can and is willing to help?

they are still successful and going strong.
So it's one of those "programming is just a tool" companies. I will never know if that's a better, worse or simply different view from "programming is an art, it must be curated".

Because his post completely removes the "verify" part of it. It's the equivalent of the current websites that ask people if they are over 18, but if the kids are under a device (properly) locked by the parents they can't just click yes.
It gives *the parents* another tool, easy (non-technical) and free, and in these days, that's a good thing.
It's not the ultimate tool, but it also doesn't invade anyone's privacy nor is fascist.

Ah, but that's not a problem with the pot method, it's a problem with the theft method.
But I was wrong, it's not at all the same, it would only be the same if all users had the same amount of listens. 9$ divided by 2 is not the same as 18$ divided by 100 because another user listened to 100 artists.

Isn't that the same thing in the end? The number of plays is probably even more fair. If you listen to one artist 1000 times they should get more than one you only listened to once.
And once you do that with each individual customer, it's mathematically the same as putting everything in a pot, isn't it?
