I was a bit inspired by trying to come up with something similar to how I would sometimes run gjs interactively to play around with JS and GObject/GTK/etc. API when developing Maps, but for when in a Java/Maven project

Came up with this little “trick” to play around interactively with packages and APIs in jshell (Java's interactive shell) when developing a Maven-based project:
# Gather dependency classpath
mvn dependency:build-classpath -Dmdep.outputfile=deps.cp.txt
# run interactive shell
CLASSPATH=$(cat deps.cp.txt) jshell
Now classes can be imported inside the interactive shell from any libraries used in your project. So that you could experiment with things iteratively.

@pojntfx @nila I got questions about running Maps on macOS once when I did a presentation. Would be kinda cool to see. But I suspect some things would need fixing. For example GeoClue is not running there, so possibly it would need some abstraction for location service (the same would apply for Window, btw). Or maybe it would still run, but unable to get current location.

(I cheated a bit and manually set the language parameter hard-coded in the first screenshot, as the complete list of system locales aren't propagated into the Flatpak sandbox when running the application inside GNOME Builder. Thus the rest of the UI strings being in English in this example).

Now that the new release of MOTIS with translation support has been deployed for Transitous, I implemented support for passing the language of user's locale(s) to the API.
This shows an itinerary rendered in Japanese and in the second example with romanized names (this relies on translation.txt being present in the corresponding GTFS feed data, though).
