@tinker@infosec.exchange I would argue that if someone has the ability to sufficiently define their threat model and explain why simpler options like tls alone don't meet their needs they probably have the ability to use algo to spin up their own vpn.
That said, convincing trail of bits to spin up a small exe/gui for algo would probably help a lot/make some vpn provider's day a lot worse
