RE: @h4ckernews@mastodon.social
i was a bit skeptical but i think i agree with nearly every design decision here, even if i find the arguments a bit iffy sometimes. like when it calls malloc 'fiction', when the point of a standard library is to create fictions (some would say abstractions) so its users don't have to deal with lower-level aspects
i find it an affront to hacker culture that flipper has transfems in it and yet isn't on fedi
in the lean zulip you're encouraged to introduce yourself in a specific channel and I would like to but (as usual) the feeling that it's not a space i belong in, especially after seeing how everyone has their PhDs and is working in cool math stuff
and i'd be like haiiii
i'm just messing around, have contributed some lemmas to agda's stdlib and that's kinda about it
that i am involved doesn't mean i'm know a lot about it, but i've certainly touched LLVM bootstrapping... what's happening?
even if you were not able to help much due to not being familiar with docker (which knowing you i'd doubt) they would be able to get much more help from others that way
"would you mind seeing potentially triggering hostnames in our router's DHCP lease list?"
I've seen several people making that mistake now... do NOT test for copy.fail by looking at the loaded modules. Linux has a hotplug mechanism that will often load the module on demand. a reliable preliminary test is creating an AF_ALG socket of the required type:
python3 -c 'import socket; socket.socket(38,5,0).bind(("aead","authencesn(hmac(sha256),cbc(aes))"))'
if this fails, you're most likely not vulnerable
China's biggest cybersecurity company, Qihoo 360 (461M users), just leaked their own wildcard SSL private key inside the public installer for their new AI assistant "360 Security Claw."
The private key for
*.myclaw.360.cnwas bundled directly in the download package [...]. The cert is valid until April 2027.
