it was kinda sad when I started to realise that a lot of furries don't have a strong connection to nature. When I first started to be a part of it, I remember asking people reasons why they chose their fursona, expecting a long detailed essay about why they love that animal, and I was often met with indifference. Things like 'they look cool' or 'my friend picked it for me'

been thinking about this. Foxes in the furry fandom have a reputation for being sluts. But it doesnt make sense. Foxes have short breeding periods, and sometimes they even choose one single mate depending on access to resources, etc. Its kinda the complete opposite.

I think the furry fandom is made up of a lot of horny people and foxes are a common pick for a 1st fursona, which is where the connotation came from. basically, its just humans being humans again lol

I feel like religion is often percieved as surrendering yourself to something. but I think people don't realise that they are actually already surrendering themselves to things; the whims of advertisers and consumerism. As a witch, surrendering myself to nature and the earth is much more fulfilling than having my will perversed by corporations and advertisements.
